The Dark Corner...

He was alone in the dark room, desperately looking for a place to hide. He could hear his heart thumping as he shuffled through different options, failing to find any of them safe enough to protect him from what was coming. Finally, located in the darkest corner of the room, there stood a very dark cupboard lying ignored for years. He quickly hid himself in it and slowly closed the squeaking door. Sitting absolutely still, he prayed hard to remain hidden.

Time passed. Slowly. He could hear hushed voices coming from far away. Was he safe? Was the threat of him being discovered fading away for the time being? But as his heart began to slow down to normal, there was some movement outside. He gasped as the door squeaked a little and he could see some large shadows moving outside, but he regained his calm and kept himself still to prevent giving away his position to the dark ghostly shadows moving outside.

A few moments passed before the voices started becoming louder, whispers turned into words, words started getting clearer, shadows became darker, and he could sense something waiting to happen at any moment now!

All of a sudden, the door opened and...

"I see you!"

and so ended another round of 'Hide & Seek'.

The Last Station

Soon, a train somewhere

Will come to a sudden stop

Bringing to end a journey

Four years long and yet too short

We can hear it blowing its final whistle

Telling us to gather all that we can

While we wish there was some chain to pull,

To pause the time; and relive these moments

But alas, this crowd and this carnival

And all these celebrations will soon be lost

But these times and these memories

And all these people, I shall cherish the most

Someday, when we remember this

It might seem chaotic and wrecked

But if we understood it all,

Just a Thought....

Friends-Love-Crushes-Relationships-Loneliness -Studies-Exams-Life….

Immersed in these problems, which even made Global Warming look like nothing for some time, I prepared to sleep as I had nothing to do, no one to talk to, no one to fight with, the Exams had just finished, terminating even the option of pretending to study. But, with the heat and dear mosquitoes flying high, sleep was also out of question…….watched a movie and fought a battle with mosquitoes till 3 AM, and somehow finally managed to sleep…….

Woke up at 7:48 AM, the class was at 8 AM, so with great efforts, I lifted my heavy heart and body and forced myself to walk the 15 minute distance to yet another class.

Walking down the road, lonely and empty, mind thinking about the problems I was thinking the previous night, and Music dancing in my ears of an unknown track, A Thought, or maybe realization, crossed my mind…

The result was never, and neither is it going to be, in my hands, the only things I have in my control are my attempts, my will to ‘Try’ for something, ‘Try’ for everything I consider right. And with this thought, somehow, every problem and every worry vanished and a smile again found a place on my face.

Irrespective of how much confidence and determination those great quotes about hard work and etc etc aimed to fill me with, a Fact remained; I still can’t control the result. But there was one more truth; Every ‘Try’ may not get the desired Result, but every desired Result needs a ‘Try’.

So, I will do whatever I think is right, with no intention of troubling anyone (except in exceptional cases), with my apologies to those hurt unintentionally; and with minimum thinking about ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ of the Result!

The scared planet shivers and shakes,

As Weapons create bright Red lakes,
Life Drowns in them,and Death Awakes.

In this War for Bright Future,For Past's Legacy,
At stake were Nation's Pride,God's Supremacy,
Fought against Unity,Fought versus Diversity,
But the only thing that lost was just Humanity!

This volcano was waiting to Erupt,if You had Seen,
Crossed and Jumped all Borders that have ever Been,
As all Borders vanish with end of every Nation,
Its Complete,and Total,This Beautiful Devastation.

Watching the Scattered and Raped Peace around,
and Living Ghosts and Dead Bodies on the ground,
I feel no Sorrow,no Regret,No Reason to Cry,
The Tears Refuse to come,How much hard I Try.

Isn't this Justified?Wasn't this well deserved?
This Wounded,Crying Life,This Hell's Greedy Elation,
Wasn't this cruel Death,This End rightly served?

I am yet to know why,but liked the poem!)

Why at all should I care what he utters
He is a stranger who has bruised me on all occasions I remember
We had started off with a fight and we shall end with one

My mind says to get away from him;
My heart says to cling to him
My mind seeks ablution;
My mind seeks ambrosial pleasure
My mind says he might harm me;
My heart says to let the phenomenal happen

If liking him was harm indeed, I would invite such harms
As many and as often he desires to heap upon me
If by befriending him I need to get ablution
I would dare to reiterate the crime a hundred more times
If by getting away from him was the only way out,
I would rather like to meet the ruffian than to rue later.

I am not a poet of emotions nor is this my genre
But nevertheless I will put my heart out
I guess this is the only way I could tell him
How miserable has he made me feel

He is sceptic, sardonic tongued rascal
Still I would like to play the piccolo outside his window
He is a warmonger carrying an impetus attitude
Yet I would like to dance the bolero with him

But I must face the truth

Missing the Girls

its so long time,since i saw a good girl around,
without them,i can't tolerate this town,
somebody help me,tell me where they can be found,
if i don't find someone,i am gonna fall to the ground.

i looked around the college,all around this cage,
but i fail to find any girl around my age,
what will happen now,will i die in rage,
or will i have to become a sage

tried on orkut already,i thought it was fine
scraped a few girls few times,to be exact it was nine,
but either they deleted my scrap or went offline,
everything looks so gloomy,everything is out of shine

but still i kept my hope alive,went to the malls,
i was really expecting to meet some really hot gals,
searched the whole place,even the movie halls,
but i have failed again,i am broken after so many falls,

but i didn't give up,went to the taj mahal,
hoping to find a girl with whom i could gel,
i tried very hard,but failed,its a truth i tell,
without girls the life has really become a hell

i asked a friend,where the girls can be found,
she told me at the places where shopping is around,
so at all shopping places i give a round,but still no girl,
no view,still no girl sound

why the hell,these days is my luck so low,
the girls seem like vanishing from anywhere i go,
it looks like someone tells them where i am,they get to know,
whoever tells them,i will kill him,he is my worst foe

DAYS OF INNOCENCE

Life had a happy meaning and a sweet fragnance,
those days of childhood,were so cute,drenched in innocence,
no dirty politics,no corruption,no religious nonsense,
those were the days,days of innocence.

those golden days,that innocent time,
a sweet smile,a pure glow on the face,was prime,
eyes had a cute twinkle,and an honest sparkle was in the voice,
I will go back,I promise,if given the choice!!!

Go back to times,when everything was so beautiful,
to the times,which were so colourful,
no guilt of the past,no worry of the future,
and the journey that is life,was much more sweeter.

everyone around i could trust,no poison in any word,
only honest feelings,only fair thoughts in heart,
mind only thought of peace and love,
and the heart was a sweet flying dove.

everything was filled with love,no sign of hate,
we lived for the moment,no worry of the fate,
there was no ego,nothing to bug,
every pain just melted by a hug.

everyone was a friend,everything looked right,
no rich ,no poor,no black,no white;
no hindu,no muslim,no master,and no slave,
oh,if for forever,that time i could save!

sometimes,we did have some fights,
but they got lost in the darkness of nights,
in the morning,there was no sign of any mess,
as in our hearts,we had the golden forgiveness!

small joys were so beautiful and divine,
now whole world fails to amuse,how much it may shine,
no complex miseries and no deadlines ticking,
those days were so happy,alive and kicking.

I PROUDLY FAIL

Fail fail fail,i proudly fail
to be free from this boring jail
from this jail called classroom,i want a bail
and so i fail fail fail,i proudly fail

Life is so beautiful,studies so stale
i want my life to be a happy tale
to my infinite interests ,i put my precious time on sale
and so i fail fail fail,i proudly fail

When after the result,i stand on the door,
and my professor looks at me,and starts to roar,
he says "oh my dear,your popularity is going to soar,
out of five,you failed in four"

But what can i do,classes are so bore,
i find it hard to take this torture anymore,
i want to go out and get on the floor,
i have one life,and i want to live it to the core

You have just failed, stay cool,
passing every time is not the rule
don't get mad, don't be a fool,
don't so easily enter the misery pool

And its not so bad to fail,
its OK for all,male or female,
being students,we have right to fail,
and so i give full fight to fail.

After this fall,i may fall again,
but don't worry,i feel no pain,
i am not going to come under the train,
the thought of suicide is not in my brain

so,fail anytimes u want,but have fun
kick the worries,shoot tensions with gun
but just be patient,life will take a sweet turn
and after the fall,you will rise brighter than sun
